When did you start learning to dance? What about the people you know? Do you have family members you wish you could introduce to the fun of dance?
When you think about the variety of ages you see dancing, the first thing that tends to come to mind are those people who started at one end or the other of the spectrum. The child who was lucky enough to have parents who could start him at age two, who learns a basic cha cha or wows you tube viewers with his impression of the paso. The woman who, at 80, realizes that she finally has the time to pursue some of the fun things she has always wanted to do. We can’t forget those in the middle though; who dance to relieve stress from work and enjoy something different during the week, to meet fitness goals or to reconnect with a spouse.
This Friday’s Thanksgiving Guest Potluck (7:45pm) will be the perfect place to introduce your friend or family member to the studio and the lovely people here. We hope to see lots of new faces.
The really great thing about dance is the flexibility of it. There is a place in it for everyone at every stage of life. As we change and grow, there is always more to learn and experience, and the dance floor provides a perfect place to meet with friends, relax, and achieve goals, all to the beat of the music.
