Lion King Party

The circle of life was a great place to be during our Lion King Party! The studio was visted by some real party animals on this night, and Lindsay decked the Savanna out in style.

Live from Broadway

This last Saturday our studio, combined with the Memorial City and the Woodlands studio, enjoyed putting on an entertaining Broadway show. It was a great opportunity to gain valuable theater experience.

The women’s staff number, a piece from Chicago danced in alluring nighties, was a hit, and of course, no one will be able to forget the Christmas boxers in the men’s Full Monty number.

The student routines were diverse and well-prepared. Our lovely students did a fantastic job with their dancing and really entertained the event’s large and appreciative audience.

Oklahoma Party

Dancing the night away in the cornfields and rolling hills of Oklahoma was just peachy, and no old-fashioned hoedown could hold a pitchfork to this party! Kyle did a great construction and decoration job.

Phantom of the Opera Party

Thanks to everyone who came out and masked up for this glamorous event! Bradley did a fantastic job decorating the studio and everyone had a great time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. There has been a succession of difficulties in getting festival pictures up on this blog, but we haven’t forgotten you! Hopefully you will be seeing yourself here soon.

Today is the Perfect Day to Dance

When did you start learning to dance? What about the people you know? Do you have family members you wish you could introduce to the fun of dance?

When you think about the variety of ages you see dancing, the first thing that tends to come to mind are those people who started at one end or the other of the spectrum. The child who was lucky enough to have parents who could start him at age two, who learns a basic cha cha or wows you tube viewers with his impression of the paso. The woman who, at 80, realizes that she finally has the time to pursue some of the fun things she has always wanted to do. We can’t forget those in the middle though; who dance to relieve stress from work and enjoy something different during the week, to meet fitness goals or to reconnect with a spouse.

This Friday’s Thanksgiving Guest Potluck (7:45pm) will be the perfect place to introduce your friend or family member to the studio and the lovely people here. We hope to see lots of new faces.

The really great thing about dance is the flexibility of it. There is a place in it for everyone at every stage of life. As we change and grow, there is always more to learn and experience, and the dance floor provides a perfect place to meet with friends, relax, and achieve goals, all to the beat of the music.
